Breakfast…

Fruit Smoothie! I thought I’d change it up a little.

Fruit Smoothie Ingredients (ie pretty much anything frozen in my freezer):

  • Strawberries
  • Pomegranate
  • Blueberries
  • Mango
  • Pineapple
  • Cocounut
  • Water
  • Lemon Juice*
*I throw in the lemon juice for an extra kick. It helps give your smoothies an edge and not have them too sweet. I learned this a long time ago when I’d make mass amounts of fresh frozen fruit daiquiris for parties. :D

So I was meandering through my dashboard and I ran across 500datesofsummer, who is doing a Watermelon challenge, to sort of detox her body. Watermelon have all sorts of naturally wonderful properties to them, especially for detoxing. I’ve been curious lately about cherries. I’ve been inspired, so I think I am going to do a bit of research this evening, and try to put together my own detox plan with mostly fruits.

The Details:

  • Ingredients - Frozen Fruit & Water
  • Tools - Blender
  • Time - under 10 minutes
  • Cost - $$Cheapish - depends on the fruit you use, and if you freeze it yourself

About

Avatar All the mundane raw food lifestyle details...

A realistic approach to the raw food lifestyle. This blog is for both you and me. I wanted a place that I could track my meals, and gauge how different foods are affecting my body. This blog is also for you, because it's an honest approach to raw foods. With all the over the top blogs out there who are either misinformed or trying to sell you on the latest uber organic trademarked over the top hoopla, I prefer simple and easy. If I can't do it on a basic budget and in a working woman's time frame, than it's not a lifestyle and it's just another fad diet. But, I'd like to prove to both you and me that it's not.
